Vacuuming
A robot vacuum is a convenient and quick method of keeping your floors clean. The majority of the robots we've chosen are designed to run on their own without any involvement from you, so you can set them up to clean your floors while you're away or trigger a session from your smartphone. You'll want to select a robot with excellent navigation and object detection to avoid getting stuck in furniture or on the staircase.
Certain models are better at picking up pet hair from rugs than others, so it's important to select the right model that will effectively and efficiently clean all types of flooring. Choose a model with a large dust bin that will hold a lot of dirt between emptying, and a nozzle which does not lose suction as it turns.

The Tapo RV30 Plus from networking giant TP Link is a fantastic two-in-one. It is compact quiet and has an elegant, easy-to-use look. In our test rooms, it was able to clean the floors thoroughly and accurately and efficiently. It was particularly effective on rugs but it took multiple runs to fully clean some areas of soiled wood. Its LIDAR navigation works well, too. It is able to avoid hitting furniture and running over power cables.
It's a bit slow on the stairs, but that's to be expected from a small robot that's designed to work around obstacles. The only downside is that its mopping pads are fiddly to attach and didn't remain in place during our tests, and it isn't equipped to deal with dirt that has dried that makes it more of a vacuum cleaner than a full-fledged robot mop.
Despite these issues It's still a good option for those seeking a hands-off cleaning experience. It can handle carpets that are bare or low-pile with equal competence. It has decent suction, which allowed it to remove dust and pet hair from carpets. One of the best features is its automatic recognition of carpets, which increases the strength of the vacuuming to tackle dirt that has been embedded. It's easy to use and the charging dock automatically emptyes the bin when it's full. This is a great feature for those who live in apartments.
Cleaning Apps
Most robot vacuums, mops, and sweepers come with an app that allows you to customize cleaning routines. You can also select rooms to be cleaned, plan cleaning sessions and change settings such as suction levels, water levels and scrubbing strength. Some robots offer intelligent dirt detection that uses maps and previous cleaning data to prioritize dirty areas.
